Thari Ya Arts Productions was formed in June 2009. Recognizing the need to assume leadership roles and positions within the arts, members of the company felt strongly about the necessity of closing the gender gap in technical and general management of productions within the theatre, film and entertainment industry. It is an all woman company, by well recognized women representing a mixture of talent in the music and performing arts, who want to see women in the arts developed and empowered in terms of skills behind the cameras, backstage, administration, entrepreneurship, technology, and development of scripts, music, and performances.

Thari Ya Arts Productions is dedicated to pave the way for women to contribute and receive recognition for their work in the arts.

Over and above, Thari Ya Arts Productions wants to see women’s status in the arts and society elevated by being well remunerated and financially supported. It also seeks to through its projects, further the goal of creating sustainable jobs and economic growth in the creative industries.
